HOT GLASS SUMMER IN FINLAND’S OLDEST GLASS VILLAGE

In Nuutajärvi Glass’s new glassblowing studio with spectator seating, a diverse lineup of talented glass artists and glassblowers work with molten glass. For the first time, visitors can experience the magic of glowing hot glass in live narrated glassblowing demonstrations during the summer of 2026.

Tickets to the narrated demonstrations can be purchased from the Oiva Toikka Bird Nest exhibition, located next to the new hotshop.

* The Village Ticket includes admission to one glassblowing demonstration, Glass Museum Prykäri and its exhibitions, and Oiva Toikka Bird Nest.

Timetable | summer 2026

The duration of the glassblowing demonstration is approximately 30–45 minutes, depending on the piece being crafted and the number of audience questions.

Glassblowing demonstrations are held throughout the summer, Tuesday through Sunday. The first demonstration day is Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and the program will continue through late August. After that, demonstrations will be scheduled primarily on weekends.

Please note that changes to the schedule and participating glassblowers may occur. Any updates will be posted on this page.
